Voting as part of this year’s Annual General Meeting closed on Monday 30 June. Thanks to all our members who took the time to vote this year. We have verified and counted your votes and can announce the results:
Election
With 3 board members' elected terms expiring at this year's meeting, there were 6 places available on the board. However, there were 5 candidates standing this year so, as long as they all got more ‘Yes’ votes than ‘No’ votes, they would be elected.
124 members voted this year, out of a possible 408. This means turnout was 30%. The verified results from our election management group are as follows:
Jim Booth (120 'Yes', 4 'No')
Damian Collinson (118 'Yes', 6 'No')
Paul Prendergast (118 'Yes', 6 'No')
Maurice Scott (117 'Yes', 7 'No')
Chris Stringer (117 'Yes', 7 'No')
The election management group has awarded the candidates who received the most ‘Yes’ votes the longest terms. This means that Jim, Damian, and Paul have been award 3-year terms while Maurice and Chris have been awarded 2-year terms.
Disapplying Audit Requirements
We asked members to vote to disapply the full audit requirements for next year’s financial accounts. The vote required a 75% majority (And less than 10% of total members to vote against) to pass.
117 members voted ‘Yes’
7 members voted ‘No’
As a result, this vote passed so next year’s accounts will be independently examined (instead of audited). The independent examination will be conducted in line with the guidance provided by the Football Supporters Association.
Approving Last Year's Accounts
Although not a legal requirement, we asked members to approve last year's accounts.
122 members voted 'Yes'
2 members voted 'No'
As a result, last year's accounts were approved and accepted by our members.
